Britten Wilder never thought his Idol the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, would one day become a client and friend. Wilder and “The godfather of Soul” met when Wilder was a writer/producer for the nationally syndicated Coast To Coast Soul, later renamed to become what we all know as Coast To Coast Top Twenty. Brown began his illustrious career as a shoe shine boy in Macon, GA. He later formed a band called The Famous Flames and shot to the top of the R&B charts with songs like “Please Please”, “It’s A Man’s World”, Papa Got A Brand New Bag”, “Cold Sweat”, “Say IT Loud”, and a host of others. This meeting helped shape Wider’s focus on his own career.
